High, wall-mounted shelves can provide the much needed extra storage without infringing on space. You don't need to be a professional to install them either, all you need are a few brackets, screws and a piece of wood cut to the right size.
Step two – get rid of anything no essential! That’s not to say a cherished framed photo needs to go, but anything that you’re not particularly attached to should go if it doesn’t serve a practical purpose. Excessive throw pillows on the bed are a good example of a bad use of space.
Keep your drawers, closets and clothes organised with the things you use most frequently in the most accessible places. That way you won’t have to tear the room apart when you’re looking for your favourite sweater.
Laundry left lying around tends to be one the main culprits for causing mess in the bedroom, so keep a hamper in a convenient place and avoid the problem.
Building upon point two – we want to reduce clutter but we can’t throw everything out, so find a good place to store the things that you don’t use regularly.
