The challenge of designing an office space is that it needs to motivate besides providing a comfortable work environment for the employees. This office in Gurgaon, designed for a company called CRODA, is a perfect example of a well-planned modern workspace. The team behind it is Matter Of Space Pvt. Ltd., Interior Designers & Decorators in Gurugram. The office space has been carefully planned to create an open, inviting workspace. Let’s take a walk through this beautiful office to explore its design features.
An office doesn’t have to be minimal, dark and dull. It can be bright and welcoming too. This minimal corner is decorative and enhances the workspace, adding a much-needed element of art and sophistication. The use of wood and metal is a clever way of combining materials.
The entrance to the trendy office bears the company’s name in bright lettering. The unique aspect of the lettering is the use of indoor plants to create the company’s name. It is quite refreshing to see. Behind the reception is a circular shelf that displays minimalist décor, just like in the corner we saw earlier.
A glimpse into the waiting area is an excellent example of the designer’s strengths. Monochrome and modern, this wall of motivation is filled with photographs, quotes and moments from the company’s journey.
The modern conference space is utilitarian, as its function has a specific purpose of facilitating discussion with minimum distractions. The beautiful shiny table has a gorgeous wood laminate top. Each chair is comfortable and ergonomically designed to make it easy to sit on for long stretches. The long ceiling lights add extra brightness to the room. A TV is placed at one end, to facilitate the viewing of presentations and other media.
Just as every office needs a conference room, it requires small meeting rooms for the teams. The designers have kept in mind this need by creating workspaces for 4-5 people. Separate from individual workstations, this is the perfect spot for brainstorming sessions.
The individual workstations are set in a continuous row. The designers have avoided adding plastic partitions between each workstation to facilitate an atmosphere of togetherness. The elegant and simple décor keep the focus on work.
Another great idea implemented by the designers is the clever use of this corner. Most often it would be ignored, or placeholder décor would be added here. However, the designers forged ahead by custom-making a table for the corner to create two more workstations.
The green corner in the office doesn’t look like the pantry from afar but come closer, and you will see the bright and cheerful design. Comfortable and lightweight tables and chairs are placed on one side of this area. On the opposite end is a small marble countertop, home to a microwave, induction stove, and a sink. A refrigerator has also been placed for the convenience of the office staff.
