OM” is a sacred sound and a spiritual icon in Indian religions. It is also a mantra in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. It refers to Atma (soul) and Brahman (entirety of universe, truth). OM is believed to be originator of everything in this universe.

The ‘OM’ symbol has been used to plan the house. Different parts of the symbol represent one activity or the other in human life thus the form has been used to plan different spaces of the house. In this way the house itself becomes sacredand purified.Climatology has also been kept in mind to define the direction and position of various spaces in and around the house.
