A recently completed project on a tricky shaped and sloped site which generated a split level home that used the site shape economically allowing for maximum garden space.
Aside from conforming to the minimum energy efficiency requirements as laid out in the building regulations the home included double glazing throughout, passive climate control with sunscreens angled for the seasonal sun positions, additional roofing and floor insulation which almost negated the need for the liquid and heat pump based underfloor heating, grey water recycling through a natural wetland for toilet flushing and irrigation, borehole storage and filtration for irrigation and swimming pool when required and is PV solar ready.
