The Bire Bar project starts from Birrificio Udinese’s intention to expand the historical brewery activity with a new eno-gastronomic sphere, with its own autonomy but keeping at the same time the brand ‘s family feeling. Further on, the charismatic owner identified wooden pallets as a main theme to work with.

Based on these assumptions, the design approach tried to establish the strongest possible relationship between spatial distribution and materialization. The two main areas – a duplex room at the entrance and a smaller and more private lounge room – use both wooden blanched pallets, with multiple and sub-multiple in order to create vertical partitions, sitting areas, shelves and acoustic fences. The lighting is as well integrated with RGB led stripes, except the hanging lamps on the main bar counter, which have been redeemed from the former Dormish Breewery.
