Studio Evren Başbuğ was formed as a medium where the founding partners would be able to reflect their individual and collective knowledge gained by their earlier experiences, to practicing not only all kinds of architectural production from the design of a single building to the planning of large scale urban areas but also in related fields such as architectural educational activities and the development of design concepts in various fields. These experiences, particularly in the area of architectural competitions where the partners had won multiple awards, are the main boost in steb’s early stages. Proposals of a concept evolve inherently at steb, and this evolution is achieved by a collective process. The scheme at hand is always outlined in the light of former similar experiences, while being handled from different perspectives using new methods; this very approach is what keeps the product -whether it is a building or a pure idea- “fresh”.

Evren Başbuğ, 1981 yılında Ankara'da doğdu. 2003 yılında ODTÜ Mimarlık Bölümü'nden mezun oldu; 2009 yılında İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Mimari Tasarım Yüksek Lisans Programı'nı tamamladı.
Ulusal ölçekte önemli mimarlık firmalarında çeşitli pozisyonlarda çalıştı. Profesyonel kariyeri boyunca ulusal mimari proje yarışmalarında kazandığı 4 birincilik, 4 ikincilik, 4 üçüncülük ve 9 mansiyonla birlikte ulusal / Uluslararası platformlarda ve programlarda kazanılmış 44 mesleki ödüle sahiptir. Evren Başbuğ, 2018 yılında Bostanlı Yaya Köprüsü ve Gün Batımı Terası ile 'Yapı / Kamusal Alan' dalında Ulusal Mimarlık Ödülü'nü kazandı.
