I am experiencing the same sort of difficulties as the reviewers have posted below. I ordered and paid for a wardrobe in august and now we can't raise a response having issued many emails and left voice messages on a seemingly unmonitored machine seeking some sort of explanation. I am concerned about my order and my money to be honest. Hopefully someone will read this and get in touch!

No news after 12 months and no refund. Just instructed my lawyers to spend as much time as they need to get this addressed In my favour.

Think very carefully before ordering from this site. I am still waiting for a refund and despite assurances that the cash will be returned to me, I’m still waiting, well after the 30 day period stated in their terms and conditions. Companies House shows the company is in the process of being struck off also. Seriously, spend your money elsewhere.
Update: have finally got my money back after raising a dispute with my credit card company. These two jokers are busy baking naff cakes in Gran Canaria and couldn’t even be bothered to respond to the dispute.
As the previous poster states Steve and Jae (Mr Steven Mark Holt and Mr John 'Jae' Robert Ellis) have moved to Gran Canaria but they own the The English Bakery Co in Maspalomas not the British Bakery co

I ordered some lovely retro furniture from there convincing website only to have to claim back from my credit card company as the furniture i ordered never arrived.
They never responded to my phone calls or emails
I even visited there premises while i was in the area to try and get some answers about the furniture i had ordered to find that the premises was empty and was up for let
Thanks to the reviews on here i now know they are in Gran Canaria running the English Bakery Co but still selling furniture on there website
They will be getting some emails from me and i advise others to do the same
I wish i had checked the reviews on here before i had ordered saving me loads of hassle
Luckily i was able to recover my money back from these 2 scammers.

Do not buy from this company. Bought a wardrobe over 3 weeks ago and won’t respond to emails, calls or messages. Having to take out a dispute with the bank!
I can see lots of positive google reviews - but this hasn’t been a positive experience for me. I found retrolicious after a recommend from a friend.
I Bought a sideboard in mid June and paid for delivery with an estimated delivery date at the time of 1-2 weeks. It was a good buying experience up to this point.
By mid July - still no delivery date. After a few unanswered emails and phone calls and 4 weeks after buying the sideboard, I did get an email about current challenges being faced within the business and at that point, a delivery date still couldn’t be given.
We agreed via a subsequent phone call and backed up via email that a refund would be issued instead but 6 weeks later, still no refund received and I’ve had to involve my credit card provider as a payment dispute.
I can understand small businesses do face challenges and i would rather support a small local business than shop at a chain store like John Lewis etc but the lack of refund after 6 weeks just isn’t fair.
Really pleased with the item that we purchased from RetroLicious. It is superb! They were pleasant to deal with and decent. I would definitely deal with them again. Thank-you!
Steve was wonderful with helping us chose our bedroom furniture. We were after something very specific to keep within the period of our house and he sorted us out.
He and his team delivered the furniture within a matter of days and even installed it in the bedroom for extra cost.
His product knowledge is incredible and we will definitely use them again.
I bought a media unit from RetroLicious in July. I found the sales team helpful, communicative and friendly. Once I had paid for the unit, it took several days for me to hear from the delivery team and the delivery itself took longer than average to arrange. Unfortunately due to a miscommunication, I wasn't there to meet the courier on the original date scheduled, adding to the overall delivery time. However, RetroLicious were very understanding and helped to rearrange the delivery for a Saturday, when I could definitely be home, and at no extra cost - which I really appreciated. The media unit is now in my lounge and it's beautiful - I am very happy with the quality and finish of the item. I would certainly consider buying from RetroLicious again in future!
