I am a ceramist working at Tokyo in Japan.
Patterns of clay
The clays for my ceramics are dug by myself in Izu, and they are applied on plain clay by patting thinly. My pieces are fired in a kiln with natural patterns of black and white parts as they are just dug out. The original patterns of clay appear on my pieces. I work on my creation everyday by designing accents of Izu clay for my ceramics.
About me: Born in Kanagawa and live in Setagaya of Tokyo. Graduated from Arita College of Ceramics. 1999 Joined Gandenji pottery. 2002 Left Gandenji pottery and moved to Kanagawa. 2003- Experienced several exhibitions.
