An H-shaped plan with a central courtyard around which the house is organized, allows for framed views through the house and into the surrounding landscape. The requirement was for a modern house which had a certain degree of symmetry, and the relaxed roof shape was to make the house fit more comfortably in the natural surroundings of the wildlife estate, – a concept in which wild game is allowed to roam freely between houses within the fenced estate.
