The demolition of an existing bungalow and the construction of a code 6 net-zero carbon 500 sqm house in Surrey, UK.


A transpired solar pre-heater; an interactive water feature [helping the user save energy and money]; PV solar film and a rainwater harvesting tank help create this Code 6 net zero carbon 5-bedroom family home, located in a well established spacious suburban area in Cobham. The scheme also includes a self-contained annexe with balcony; cinema and music room.

The interactive waterfall feature is backlit by a series of lights that change from green – through amber – to red, depending on how much energy the house is using, whilst changes in speed also reaffirm energy consumption, encouraging users, especially their children to turn off lights.
